QUByte Emulation Engine (QEE) Adds JS Module to Support HTML5 Games

QUByte’s in-house engine expands its capabilities with native support for HTML5 games via JS integration

QUByte Interactive announces a major evolution of the QUByte Emulation Engine (QEE) with the introduction of a new module dedicated to running and translating games developed in HTML5.

Initially designed for games created with Construct 2 and 3, the new module streamlines the porting process to consoles while ensuring full compatibility with target platforms. Future updates will extend support to additional engines that export HTML5 games.

“Our goal with this module is to simplify the adaptation of HTML5-based games to consoles and native platforms, enhancing performance while preserving the original gameplay experience,” declares Marivaldo Cabral, CEO & Software Engineer at QUByte Interactive.

The module uses a hybrid AOT(Ahead of Time) approach that combines precompiled JavaScript bytecode with native components to improve performance and reduce runtime overhead. This approach ensures high compatibility with HTML5 games, preserving their original behavior without requiring code rewrites.

With this new module, we now have a direct path to bring HTML5 games to platforms like Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox One / Series X|S, enabling a faster, more reliable, and cost-effective porting process.
